Your goals do not require, nor will they be substantially influenced by hypnosis.

If you want to be a better student: study.

If you want to be a better basketball player: practice.

It really is as simple (and is challenging) as that.

Try the Silva Mind Method books. They are about using a gentle self-hypnosis to improve memory and state of readiness for sports and tests and whatnot. A relaxed mind definitely improves school and sports. Good luck!

Get a copy of the book Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain. Read it … more than once. Or You Can Work Your Own Miracles by Napoleon Hill. Again, read it over and over. Books of this type teach you to direct your thoughts towards attaining your goals, whatever those goals might be. You can call it hypnosis if you want. It’s not. It’s just plain old Positive Thinking (another book for another day). Luck!

in order to hypnotize oneself, one needs access to the subconscious. the subconscious can be accessed through five means:
1. during a traumatic event
2. during a state of fear (not as intense as trauma, though)
3. trancing out (this can be staring out into space, and the trance ends when you blink)
4. via truth serum
and 5. hypnosis.
during such a trance, just think of yourself as someone who enjoys learning and improving himself. literally, say to yourself, “wow, im a human who loves to learn. i feel great studying…” etc.
